In 2019 ICANN warned about computer attacks to modify site addresses to hack them. The alert of this “policeman of the Internet” made the public aware of the extent of cybercrime. And yet, this field of knowledge remains a great unknown.
The brand of a company is a first class intangible asset, no company doubts the importance of protecting its brand. Today, having a coherent legal, communication and technical strategy becomes crucial.
Between 2018 and 2019, I managed the permanent monitoring and management of Société Générale Group domain names. Attached to the Direction of Digital Communication, I was in charge of the follow-up of spoofing disputes of the brand. In direct contact with CERT and the TCMH, my contacts were the more than 150,000 employees of the Group, the network engineers, the security of information systems.
The diversity of stakeholders and the impact of the topics are strategic. On various occasions I have been able to realize the importance of ensuring a permanent possession of its intellectual property, and the risks of e-reputation incurred.
Today, I bring IT know-how to IT managers, thus complementing their skills. I put in place an effective exchange structure for their day-to-day protection.
