In evening classes at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, live models lend themselves to the game. Whether for 45, 10 or 2 minutes, they take the pose. In an environment full of history, drawing and art enthusiasts like me try to capture the essence of the pose, to guess the anatomy of the bodies that inspire. Surrounded by teachers traveling in the amphitheater, the objective of the 3-hour sessions is to acquire or consolidate the bases of the drawing by the composition, the line, the proportions, the volumes and the modeled values.
